All replies to emails regarding FPS and jumps will already have this information as we have always forwarded a link to Coriolis's informative post. :)

It has become such a frequently asked question that it is now included in the guide itself. The information is 'as posted' by Coriolis in the Quake3World General Discussion forum thread Why your framerate affects jumping!

26.02.2000 Aqua: Those that have read the Chaps Log will know that I left UC due to real life problems and that I am leaving UK and returning to my home country. UC is my first and only clan and I will continue to update the guides I created for UC. The hosting site for the main files has moved to another server so that others can easily update them in future without needing to access the UC webserver. However, automatic redirection is in place so please continue to use http://www.upsetchaps.cjb.net/quake3guide/AquaQuake3Guide.html as the main guide link, please do not link to any other page.

Minor update to FPS and Visuals to include links to speedup .dlls. Added link to Bot Documentation and Shader Documentation to main page download. Now that point release is 'settled' there will be other section updates over coming days.
26.12.1999 A major update to the Connection Tweaks subsection, it has a lot more information than the 23.12.1999 update and I have explained the various variables and their settings in a lot more detail. 19.12.1999 Minor updates to Framerate and Visual Tweaks and Quake2 to Quake3 Map Converter sections to make some points clearer. Added Entity file editor to the Quake2 to Quake3 Map Converter section. Weapons section details updated for clarity, my explanations were confusing. Thankyou to [GRG]Ender for his email about about the r_finish setting. See the Rendering Tweak Notes footer for a reasons why a setting of "1" may be best for your system. A quick hello to clan GRG :)
18.12.1999 Setup and Drivers section updated, the latest Voodoo3 1.03.05 3dfx drivers appear to correct the slowdown when using the 3dfx OpenGL. The Wicked3D OpenGL driver however is still faster on Intel CPU systems and allows r_picmip "0" with no slowdown. Armour section corrected, thankyou to [DBP]Gozza for pointing out my error with regard to 2/3 and 1/3 being the wrong way around. No doubt due to me being tired or proving my point that English to me is back to front ;) :D
17.12.1999 First Public release of internal UC Quake3 guide which has been available to UC in one form or another since September 26th 1999.

Some pages have graphics that need to be resized so please do not email me as I will alter them, eventually ;)
