Powerups and Holdable Items



Powerups
Battle Suit
Perhaps the most powerful with regard to damage limitation. The battle suit absorbs some damage and stops any splash damage, only direct hits will reduce your health/armour. It also protects you from world hazards such as lava and slime. Player has a golden shimmering shell when the powerup is active. Lasts 30 seconds and usual respawn time is usually 120 seconds after pickup.


Flight
A jetpack which allows you to fly around levels. Lasts 60 seconds and respawn time is usually 120 seconds after pickup.


Invisibility
Looks like the effect in Predator with shimmering distortion of textures around the player using the powerup. You can still hear the player. Lasts 30 seconds and respawn time is usually 120 seconds after pickup.


Haste
Accelerates all weapons, projectiles and even your movement rate by two. Player has smoke trails when the powerup is active. Lasts 30 seconds and respawn time is usually 120 seconds after pickup.


Quad
Same as in Quake2 but will only do quad damage when the server flags are set for that. On servers running default settings this will only cause triple damage. Player has a blue shimmering shell when the powerup is active. In CTF shell colour is team colour. Lasts 30 seconds and respawn time is usually 120 seconds after pickup. On non teamplay maps the Quad will usually respawn every 45 seconds.


Regeneration
Increases your health by 15 points a second until it reaches 200. Once 200 is reached your health will drop each second until it reaches 100. Regeneration does not increase or regenerate your armour level. Player has a flashing red shell when the powerup is active. Lasts 30 seconds and respawn time is usually 120 seconds after pickup.


Doubler [Team Arena]

Similar to PowerAmplifier in Quake2, this powerup allows any weapon to do double damage. This powerup stays with you until you are fragged


Ammo Regen [Team Arena]

Similar to TimeAccel in Quake2 in that your firing and reload rate is faster, in this case by one third, with the added bonus of regenerating your ammunition. The rate of regeneration is different for the BFG in that it is much slower. This powerup stays with you until you are fragged


Scout [Team Arena]

Similar to Haste in Quake3, this powerup allows movement and firing at double the normal speed but removes all armour. This powerup stays with you until you are fragged


Guard [Team Arena]

Similar to Autodoc in Quake2, raises and regenerates your health to 200 but does not regenerate armour, it only allows armour to reach a maximum of 200 without it counting down to 100. This powerup stays with you until you are fragged

 

 

Holdable Items
Medkit
The Medkit is an item and can be picked up and used when needed. Increases your health to 100. Usually respawns every 60 seconds after pickup.


Teleporter
The Teleporter is an item and can be picked up and used when needed, it can move you to a respawn point on the map instantly. When carrying the flag in CTF the flag will be dropped. Usually respawns every 60 seconds after pickup.


Kamikaze [Team Arena]

Kamikaze is an item that when used frags everyone, including the holder within its large blast radius. If fragged while holding this item it will automatically detonate.


Invulnerability [Team Arena]

Invulnerability is an item that protects you with an invincible shell. You cannot move while it is active and only promixity mines can be used against you.
