Season's Greetings (December 25th 2000)
Best wishes to you from all of us in UpsetChaps, hope you all have a very Merry Christmas :)

Timeout! (November 15th 2000)
Clans are finding it harder and harder to recruit players who enjoy playing Quake3 CTF. So very many posts in Quake3 CTF forums asking for recruits, clans folding, players deserting. Those clans are not alone, despite being very much dedicated to Quake3 CTF UC yet again finds itself recruiting. It has been decided to call timeout until we have a reliable and stable membership for Quake3 CTF. We have withdrawn from all leagues and ladders while recruits are found, teamplay is back to a high standard and UC is restructured. Once those tasks are complete we will be entering Quake3 CTF leagues and ladders once again. Our best wishes to all.

Savage Quake3 CTF League Result - UC 0 / IQS 2 (November 5th 2000)
The second game to be played on this map against a strong IQS side, they had excellent powerup control and strong deathmatch skills. Many times IQS recovered their flag while UC were just about to capture, one while virtually on top of the UC flag. Well played all.

Savage Quake3 CTF League Result - UC 0 / =VS= 3 (September 25th 2000)
The arena was Captive Honour [GEFSCTF2], UC's last game in a troubled season with members leaving or going inactive. Sadly we were still unable to field new recruits due to illness or the Savage CAPS 'two week' rule, we now faced the strongest clan in our division =VS=. They quickly flooded midfield in force which made it hard for our attackers to even enter our opponents base. We lost control of midfield and the vital Haste, it was only a matter of time before =VS= capped and the first match finished at 1-0. The second match went very defensive, =VS= appeared to move all players to midfield. This change in formation again left UC weak in midfield with little chance of a successful attack and the match was to end 2-0 to =VS=. UC wish to thank to =VS= for some excellent matches and wish you the very best in division 1 of Savage next season. Well played all.

Savage Quake3 CTF League Result - UC 1 / IMP 7 (September 17th 2000)
Due to Savage rules we had only 5 players eligible to play in this game, so before the match had even started we were at a disadvantage on a map where numbers count. I must thank Requiem for playing despite him being ill, if he had not played it would have been 4 v 6. Suffice to say despite our best efforts we could not control the vital midfield and IMP took advantage of that fact. Their deathmatch skills certainly helped and combined with our lack of players they soon took the lead.

Savage Quake3 CTF League Result - UC 0 / Dr 3 (September 11th 2000)
Finnegan's Revenge, the home of the new Quake3 mod Capture the Haste ;) Some very good play from both sides with Slave filling in for an unavailable Gracken and Phreaky. The first game was best described as cautious and resulted in a draw. The second game was much more open and aggressive with the battle for midfield and Haste control being consistently won by Dr resulting in a well deserved 3-0 win to them. Well played all.

Savage Quake3 CTF League Result - UC 13 / VFC 3 (September 3rd 2000)
The outcome of this game was something of an unknown quantity, after the recent exodus we had recruited very carefully with our minds set on long term rather than short term. The first game started well, some wonderful escort and backup play by our new recruit Requiem helped UC flag carrier Gracken to quickly capture. I am sure that after recent events a sigh of relief echoed through the UC ranks, the foundation was set for the rest of the game. Despite some excellent defending and attacking in force by VFC we came through and won, UC 7 - VFC 1. The second game started badly, connection problems for Hercules meant we started the game a player down, Phreaky joined and we were back to full strength. VFC attacked in force and quickly captured, UC fought back and equalised. VFC were gaining control of vital areas and any UC captures were well earned, final score was UC 6 - VFC 2. Our respect to VFC, well played all.

Savage Quake3 CTF League Result - UC 0 / oG 4 (August 20th 2000)
With the recent exodus of players from UC to pastures new in CCTF and Alliance CTF we expected the worse for this and the ACME game. All credit to Bluecat for playing in this and the last few games on 28.8 modem connection. oG played an excellent first game, UC were outplayed and outflanked resulting in a 3-0 win. We changed tactics for the second match and gained control of vital areas and items, up until the last few minutes it looked like a draw, then out of nowhere an excellent cap by oG set the scoreline to 1-0. Well played oG.

Savage Quake3 CTF League Result - UC 12 / ACME 0 (August 13th 2000)
Very close games with the usual battle for control of midfield that is the Stronghold. Well played all.

Exodus (August 12th 2000)
Our best wishes to Gibz, Grunt, Manta and Mantis who have recently departed from UpsetChaps for pastures new in Quake3 Classic CTF and Quake3 Alliance CTF.

Savage Quake3 CTF League Result - UC 4 / SS 6 (August 6th 2000)
UC took an early lead in the first game only for SS to regroup and fight back to win 3-1. The second match started well with UC again having the upper hand, two late SS caps resulted in a 3-3 draw. Two very good games, well played all.

Savage Quake3 CTF League Result - UC 1 / EQ 3 (July 12th 2000)
Another Maplab map was used, this time McKinley Arena II. Two very close and hard fought games, 1-0 to EQ and 2-1 to EQ. Well played all.

Savage Quake3 CTF League Match Postponed (July 9th 2000)
EQ asked for the match to be postponed, match will be played on Wednesday July12th at 9.30pm.

Savage Quake3 CTF League Result - UC 0 / K 2 (June 25th 2000)
The first match to be played on the MapLab map Ruines Canyon, very close games with each flag capture being well earned - Well played K.

Savage Quake3 CTF League Result - UC 8 / oG 2 (June 18th 2000)
The arena was Finnegan's Revenge, a map best described as 'Capture the Haste' >:] The first game was a convincing win, UC 5 / oG 0. Og adjusted tactics for the second game and had improved control of midfield resulting in a much closer score, UC 3 / Og 2.

Ship Ahoy! (June 9th 2000)
This should have been entered into the chaps log in early May, I am sure I will be forgiven >:)
So very happy to announce that Bismark has returned to UC and that we also have some new recruits in Gibz, Gracken, Manta and Mantis.

Clanbase Quake3 CTF Ladder Result - UC 40 / FWS 0 (June 8th 2000)
UC cannot praise FWS enough, despite the heavy loss they never gave up - Like LGD they are a clan with heart, honour and one that deserves respect.

Savage Quake3 CTF League Result - UC 9 / Jams 1 (June 4th 2000)
The first game was a convincing win for UC, 7 captures to 1. Jams regrouped and changed tactics in the second game which made it harder for UC to capture, countless times Jam's flag was lost just inside the UC base. The second game was however a UC win, 2 captures to 0. Well played all.

Savage Quake3 CTF League Result - UC 3 / BBC 1 (May 28th 2000)
As is usual with BBC Vs UC matches the games were played with honour, respect and in good humour. The games were very close, UC winning the first game and a draw in the second game. Our warmest regards to all at the BBC :]

Savage Quake3 CTF League Result - UC 35 / LGD 0 (May 21st 2000)
While this was a convincing win to UC I cannot praise LGD enough, even though they were losing heavily they never gave up - A clan with heart, honour and one that deserves respect.

A default win for UC - Thankyou to =VS= for the friendly match which at least allowed UC to play when EQ defaulted.

Savage Quake3 CTF League Result - UC 6 / FRE 0 (March 19th 2000)
UC now lead their group table with only three matches of season '0' left to play.

Savage Quake3 CTF League Result - UC 6 / Fey 0 (March 12th 2000)
A default win for UC as clan 'The Fedaykin' have decided they no longer wish to play Quake3 CTF.

Sail Away (March 11th 2000)
Less than ten days ago we said goodbye to Aqua, now UC say goodbye to Bismark, an excellent team player and most importantly a wonderful person. Our best wishes to you in whatever path you wish to take, may your journey be a safe one.

Savage Quake3 CTF League Result - UC 6 / =VS= 0 (March 5th 2000)
No report or comments.

Last Tide (Aqua March 1st 2000)
The last five years I have been contracting and travelling, the last two years in the UK. During my time here I have met some wonderful people and tried to contribute what little I could to the Quake2 and Quake3 community. I now find myself longing for home, so much time spent away from my family, my loved ones and my country. I cannot leave without saying goodbye and thank you to UC, Savage and you, the Quake2 and Quake3 community.

Public Libray (Aqua February 28th 2000)
The public library section has been updated to include the UC Connection Guide as well as the UC Quake3 Guide. The guides are being relocated so that they can easily be updated and maintained by others without needing to access UC Webserver. URLs will remain unchanged and redirection/relocation will be transparent to you, the user.

Between a ROK and a Hard Place - UC 4 / ROK 1 (Aqua February 27th 2000)
UC played an on form ROK in Season '0' of the Savage league, result was 4-1 with the win going to to UC.

Savage Arena (Aqua February 26th 2000)
The Savage Quake3:Arena CTF league starts tomorrow with UC facing ROK in season '0'. This season of the league runs for 7 weeks and is a playoff season to decide league places for season 1. Best wishes to Savage, UC and all clans playing in what is perhaps the best CTF league in the UK.

A Prophecy for the new Millennium ;) (Aqua February 14th 2000)
UC welcome Prophecy, another Predator who has chosen to spend his hunting time with UC in the Arenas of Quake3 CTF.

Stormy Waters or Last Tide? (Aqua January 29th 2000)
It is no secret that life has not been kind to me in the last few months, many in UC will tell you of my fiery nature recently and internal UC issues only added to the pressure I already felt. I can now leave UC in good hands, with them preparing for a journey into the arena while my journey takes me on stormy waters - my sincere best wishes to you all.

Predator - New Hunt, New Arena....(Aqua January 11th 2000)
With the disbanding of bYc many predators are looking to other clans in which to use their skills and spend their hunting time. We welcome Hive who will be entering the Arenas of Quake3 to hunt with UC :)

A New Millennium, Century and Year....(Aqua January 1st 2000)
A time for family, friends and a time for celebration, our sincere best wishes to whoever passes by this page and reads this message. Today is a historic event we will not see the likes of again in our lifetime - 1000 years, 100 years and a new year.

Into the Arena....(Aqua January 1st 2000)
UC went dormant during the transition period from Quake1 to Quake2 and were dormant during the transition period from Quake2 to Quake3. Being dormant has its benefits, rest and time for preparation being high on the list. This repeat entry in the chaps log is to announce that we are active once again, this time in the fantasy world we call Quake3:Arena.
